The 55th BFI London Film Festival kicks off tonight with 360, Fernando Meirelles’ globetrotting 21st-century take on Arthur Schnitzler’s classic play La Ronde.
City of God director Meirelles has teamed up with Frost/Nixon writer Peter Morgan and a stellar cast including Anthony Hopkins, Jude Law and Rachel Weisz.
360 got a mixed critical reception when it bowed at the Toronto Film Festival last month, but if Meirelles’ film doesn’t float your boat there’s a mind-boggling array of films on offer during the London Film Festival over the next fortnight including over 200 features and 110 shorts, and special events and guests galore.
Among the recent additions to the festival line-up is a screen talk with Woody Harrelson at 4.15pm on Sunday 16th at BFI Southbank.
Check out our top ten picks at this year’s festival and tips on how to get hold of tickets for the most popular screenings. And come back for more festival reports and previews over the next fortnight.
